Procedures are the functional steps used to implement policies. 1Principles in this context are to be understood as being both broad and detailed. University Policies may be approved from time to time by the Senate, Academic Board/Council, Vice-Chancellor or other member of the Executive to whom the Vice-Chancellor has delegated responsibility for a particular portfolio. University Policies are binding on University staff and/or students. The University is developing a comprehensive University Policies website with the aim of ensuring that staff and students have ready access to authoritative information on University Policies.
